In the purest German tradition, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe facelift will stick to minimal visual changes, with the test vehicles revealing the styling transformations one by one. And since the advancement process still hasn’t reached its final stages, the model that was recently spied in German traffic isn’t eager to expose excessive.
2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Design
The most obvious redesign moves will originate from the renewed fascias, which we’ve recently identified on another prototype, albeit one that was covered in camouflage. Furthermore, the front and rear light clusters of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe will receive brand-new inner graphics, but it’s still too early to talk about such details. Taking a peek inside this model in this clip, we seem to be handling the brand-new steering wheel, which appears to load a more rounded design, but the spy video doesn’t enable us to be 100 percent specific.
On the inside, Mercedes-Benz will fit it with a brand-new guiding wheel, while an ultra-wide screen will replace the 2 separate ones discovered in the present model. Upgraded upholstery for the seats and brand-new colors in the Designo range will also be available, while a restyled touchpad on the center armrest will replace the one discovered in the pre-facelift model.
2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Engine
On the powertrain front, the S400 will ditch its twin-turbo V6 heart in favor of a brand-new 3.0-liter straight-six– the German car manufacturer is set to present a brand-new inline-six engine family this year, one that will mix classic turbocharging with an electrical compressor working with a 48V system. Affalterbach’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 will animate both the S550/S500, along with the S63, undoubtedly in various states of tune. As for the collector-friendly S65 Coupe, the twin-turbo V12 powerplant of the model will only get a modest output and performance bump.
2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Release Date
While the revamped Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan is set to land this fall, we’ll need to wait on next year to meet the modified S-Class Coupe, which will strike the marketplace as a 2019 model.
